We specialise in the Equine Breeding Industry for all breeds of equine.
Located in Matangi just outside of Hamilton, SG Stud is situated in the heart of the Waikato’s Equestrian area with many equine resources close at hand. These include: Cambridge Equine Hospital, Waikato Equine Veterinary Services, Equibreed NZ and Matamata Veterinary Services.
We are passionate about what we do and this has made us a small but highly successful breeding business.

Over the past 12 months Colette from SG Stud has gone above and beyond to help us with our breeding needs. She has foaled three of our mares providing an excellent service for both foaling and post foal/mare care.
Nothing is ever a problem for Colette; if we are going away and have a mare due she is always happy to have them for foal watch. She has extensive knowledge in breeding and horse management, and has access to the best veterinarian advice if needed which provides the peace of mind needed when owning breeding stock.
Colette has also recently educated our 2 year old colt for semen collection and the results were fantastic. She has also provided advice around fertility and feed management for increasing his sperm count.
